Parent/Guardian Group

The Jordan Creek Elementary Parent/Guardian Faculty Club (PFC) is a group where parents, teachers, and school administrators come together. Our goal is to make sure our children have a great education and a safe, healthy school. The PFC makes this happen by organizing different programs and parent volunteers to lead these efforts. 

It’s a team effort to make our school the best it can be. Studies show that when parents are involved at school, students do better and enjoy school more.

Volunteer Opportunities

• Backpack Program/Booster Pak: Provides food necessities for Jordan Creek students in need. On assigned days, volunteer drivers pick up donations from the Learning Resource Center and deliver to the front office at Jordan Creek.
• Book Fair: Organizes and hosts the annual Book Fair at Jordan Creek Elementary. Funds raised from the Book Fair benefit the school library.
• Challenge of the Books: Organize and host monthly book club for 4th–6th grade students and assist with purchasing the necessary books.
• Chess Club: Volunteers help supervise chess club and assist with instruction of the game
• Cultural Day
• Fundraising: Organize and facilitate a variety of fundraisers to help support the PFC’s initiatives.
• Hospitality/Teacher Appreciation: Show appreciation and support for the faculty and staff at Jordan Creek by providing meals during conferences and teacher appreciation week.
• JC School Shirts: To ensure every student has a sense of unity and belonging, the PFC provides a school shirt for all Jordan Creek Elementary students and new staff. Students in grades K-5 and new teachers and staff receive shirts. Sixth grade students receive special sixth grade shirts.
• Kids Care Club: Coordinate service-oriented projects and events to benefit our community. Plan monthly meetings and coordinate with nonprofits as necessary.
• Rock the Walk
• School Directory: Provides a comprehensive list of contact information for each student, organized by classroom.
• School Supplies: Provide a list of school supplies that can be ordered and delivered to the school for interested families. 
• Sixth-Grade Committee: Assist with events such as volleyball tournament, track meet, and sixth grade graduation events.
• Social Committee: Organize events to bring Jordan Creek families together. Events can include movie nights, dances, roller skating nights, restaurant spirit nights, local sporting events, etc.
• Spelling Challenge: Coordinates and plans the school's spelling challenge.
• Spirit Wear: Provides Jordan Creek-branded apparel options for purchase.
• STEAM Lab: Support the school STEAM lab by identifying needs, planning STEAM lab events, and collaborating with teachers.
• Talking Canvas: Exposes students to varying artistic techniques and artists.
• Volunteer Coordination: Be a point of contact for parents looking to volunteer through the PFC and address the needs of volunteers.
• Yearbook Committee: Prepare, order, and distribute yearbooks for Jordan Creek Elementary School.
